Petrol is a dark blue with a green edge to it, like deep water or an old enamel sign. It feels a touch more interesting than navy, which is why interior designers, craft breweries, bike shops and marine businesses like it.
Light inks do the job. White is clean, and warm colours such as mustard, coral or orange look striking against the teal undertone. Pale aqua gives a subtle tonal print. Navy, black and dark green will be lost in it.
It's a 100% cotton tote holding around 10 litres, with handles long enough to wear on the shoulder. An unprinted sample is a good idea if you're matching a brand colour.
