Samples and swatches

You can order an unprinted sample of any bag from its page, so you can check the size, fabric and colour before you print. You pay the sample price and a small fixed postage charge, both shown before you pay. To compare several fabrics at once, ask for our free swatch pack.

Ordering an unprinted sample

  1. Open the bag's page

    Find the bag in our full range and open its page.

  2. Choose Unprinted sample

    It sits at the top of the print options, with its price beside it. Pick the bag colour you want to see.

  3. Add it to your basket

    Add samples of as many bags as you like, then check out. The postage is a small fixed charge, shown in the basket before you pay.

  4. We post it out

    We send samples by DPD Next Day, the same as our printed orders.

Asking for a swatch pack

Our swatch pack lets you feel our fabrics side by side. A light cotton and a heavy canvas feel very different in the hand, and that's hard to judge from a photo. The pack is free, and it's an easy way to narrow down a long list.

To ask for one, send us a message through our contact form with your name and postal address. Tell us what the bags are for and which ones you're considering, and we'll point you to the right ones to sample next.

What to check when your sample arrives

A sample tells you things a photo can't. Give it a proper try before you order the full run.

  • Print your logo on paper at the size you want and hold it against the bag. Does it look right on the front?
  • Fill the bag with what it will really carry: an A4 folder, a laptop, a wine bottle or a week of shopping.
  • Try the handles over your shoulder while wearing a coat. Short handles suit carrying in the hand.
  • Look at the colour in daylight, not only under office lights, and against your brand colours.

  • Check the size against our bag size guide if you're comparing it with another bag.

Questions people ask

Are samples free?

Unprinted samples cost the sample price shown on the bag's page, plus a small fixed postage charge. Both are shown before you pay. The fabric swatch pack is free.

Can I get a printed sample?

Unprinted samples can be ordered straight from each bag's page. For a printed sample, contact us to talk through what you need.

Can I order samples of several bags?

Yes. Add each one to your basket as an unprinted sample and check out once. The postage charge is shown in the basket.

How long do samples take to arrive?

We send samples by DPD Next Day, the same service as our printed orders.

How do I see how my logo will look?

Send it through our free artwork check. We'll check the file and tell you how it will print. When you order, we email a proof showing the print on the bag before anything is printed.

Can I order a sample and still get my bags quickly?

Yes. If you're short of time, sample a bag from our express range, which can be printed from the next working day once you've decided.
