Tote bag printing prices
The price of a printed tote bag comes down to four things: the bag, the number of ink colours, the number of sides and the number of bags. The tables below show our live prices for three bags with the one-off screen charge already included, so what you see is what you pay before VAT and delivery.
How a printed bag is priced
Every price on this site is built the same way:
- The bag. Each bag has its own price, set by its fabric, weight and size. A 150gsm cotton shopper costs less than a 280gsm canvas tote. On many bags, natural and white are the best-value colours and dyed colours cost a little more.
- The print. Printing adds a set amount to each bag for each side, plus a smaller amount for each extra ink colour.
- The screens. Each ink colour needs its own screen, and each screen has a one-off charge. It's the same for 25 bags or 2,500, which is why the price per bag falls as the quantity goes up.
On top of that come VAT, delivery (DPD Next Day, priced by weight in the basket) and, only if you choose it, the express fee. Checking your artwork and emailing you a proof are free.

A heavier canvas tote
The Premium Recycled Canvas Tote Bag: 280gsm recycled cotton canvas with a gusset and 21 litres of space. It costs more per bag and feels like a bag people keep, and it's in the express range in black or natural.

2 colours means 2 screens: a one-off £80.00 to make, plus £0.50 a bag to print the first colour and £0.25 a bag for each extra one. The screen charge is the same whether you print 50 bags or 5,000, which is why bigger runs cost less per bag.

Questions people ask
How much does it cost to print a tote bag?
It depends on the bag, the number of colours and the quantity. The tables above show live prices. On every bag, the price per bag falls steeply up to about 250 bags and levels off after 500. Each bag page gives you a price for any quantity you type.
What is a screen charge?
Screen printing pushes ink through a fine mesh screen, one screen for each colour. The screen charge covers making it. It's charged once per colour on each order, and it's included in every price in the tables above, spread across the bags.
Do your prices include VAT?
No. Prices on the site are shown without VAT, which is added in the basket along with delivery.
How much is delivery?
Orders go by DPD Next Day to UK mainland addresses, priced by the weight of your order, so you'll see the cost in the basket before you pay. For anywhere else, ask us.
Is printing both sides twice the price?
No. If the back has the same design as the front, we reuse the screens, so you only pay the extra print charge on each bag. A different design on the back needs its own screens. See double-sided prices.
Do you charge for artwork checks or proofs?
No. We check every file for free and email you a proof. Nothing is printed until you approve it. Send us your artwork.
Do you give quotes for large orders?
The prices on each bag page work for any quantity, so you can price a large order yourself. For several thousand bags, or a bag we don't list, get in touch and we'll talk it through.
