How we print heavyweight tote bags

Heavier canvas takes a screen print beautifully. The weave is tight and smooth, so solid areas of colour lie flat and fine detail stays sharp.

  • Gussets. A gusset gives the bag depth and a flat base, so it holds more. Your print goes on the front, the back or both.
  • Big and landscape bags. The Zip Tote closes with a brass zip and is 60 cm wide, and the Contrast Panel Tote is 52 cm wide, so wide logos and wordmarks suit them. On the Contrast Panel Tote we can print the upper panel up to 49 x 21 cm and the lower panel up to 49 x 10 cm.
  • Denim and dark canvas. Light inks show best on denim. On black, white prints bright on its own. Most other light inks need a white underbase, which counts as one more colour. See printing on dark bags.

Turnaround and delivery

Standard turnaround is 7 to 10 working days from the day you approve your proof.

Three bags on this page are on our express range: the Premium Recycled Cotton Tote Bag, and the Premium Recycled Canvas Tote Bag and Recycled Canvas Tote Bag in Black or Natural. Order before 1pm, approve your proof, and they can be printed and sent from the next working day, up to 500 of each bag per order. The express fee is shown in the basket before you pay.

Every order goes by DPD Next Day to UK mainland addresses and is charged by weight: £7 for the first 10kg and 40p for each kg after that, plus 20%, then VAT. Canvas is heavier than cotton, so 100 Premium Recycled Canvas Tote Bags deliver for £13.68 + VAT. An unprinted sample of any bag costs £3.95 + VAT postage. Read more about delivery and turnaround.

Questions people ask

What makes premium tote bags different?

Heavier fabric, mostly. Our standard cotton totes are 140gsm to 150gsm, and most bags on this page are 200gsm to 407gsm. Many also have a gusset, and many are certified recycled or organic cotton.

Is canvas the same as cotton?

Canvas is cotton, woven tighter and heavier. It holds its shape, carries more weight and gives a smoother surface to print on.

Is there a minimum order for printed canvas tote bags?

There's no fixed minimum. Prices on each bag's page start from 25, and you can type any quantity. Bigger runs cost less per bag.

How long do printed canvas totes take?

Our standard turnaround is 7 to 10 working days from your approved proof. The three express bags above can go from the next working day if you order before 1pm and approve your proof.
