Red marl is deeper than a pillar box red, closer to cranberry, with a gentle fleck through it from the blend of natural and red cotton. It has a warm, wintry feel. Christmas markets, wine shops, theatres and university colleges tend to like it.
Light inks are the best bet. White looks crisp, cream gives a softer vintage look, and a soft yellow works well for anything festive. Dark inks and other reds will be lost against it.
The tote is 100% post-consumer recycled cotton, GRS and Oeko-Tex certified, and measures 38 x 42 cm. Its long handles are strong enough for everyday shopping, and it folds away neatly afterwards.
