Green marl has a soft, flecked look, because the fabric is a blend of natural and green cotton rather than a flat dye. The result is a pale sage-like green that feels calm and earthy. Garden centres, allotment societies, zero waste shops and yoga studios are drawn to it.
Being a light colour, it takes dark inks best. Forest green, navy and black all print clearly, and a deep brown suits an earthy brand. White and pale yellow will struggle for contrast.
The tote is made from 100% post-consumer recycled cotton, Oeko-Tex certified, in a 38 x 42 cm size with strong, long handles. Marl colours are easier to judge in the hand than on a screen, so an unprinted sample is worth ordering if you're matching brand colours.
