Printed paper bottle bags
A paper bottle bag is a tall, narrow bag sized for a bottle of wine or spirits, with a square base so the bottle stands upright. We print them with your logo in kraft or luxury paper, for vineyards, distilleries, breweries, wine shops and gifts. Every order is quoted by hand.

Two ways to do it
Most bottle bags are one of these. Both hold a standard 75cl wine bottle, and we can size them for taller or wider bottles.

Designing for a tall, narrow bag
A bottle bag is roughly twice as tall as it is wide, so the print area is tall and narrow too. A wide logo has to shrink to fit, and small words get lost. Logos that stack, with the mark above the name, use the space best.
The bottle's neck sits in the top third of the bag and the handles fold down over it, so keep the design in the middle of the front, clear of the top fold. We can print one side or both.
We print in solid spot colours, matched to your file or to Pantone references. Gold-coloured ink looks good on dark bags, and real metallic foil can be quoted on request: see paper bag finishes. We check your artwork for free and email a proof before anything is printed.
What to tell us for a quote
- What the bottle is: wine, spirits, beer, oil or something else.
- Its height and widest width, if it isn't a standard 75cl wine bottle.
- How many bottles go in each bag. Most bags hold one.
- Kraft or luxury paper, and the handle you'd like.
- How many bags, and the date you need them by.

Questions people ask
What size paper bag fits a wine bottle?
A standard 75cl wine bottle needs a tall, narrow bag with a small square base and enough height to cover the neck. Sparkling wine, spirits and magnums need more room, so tell us the bottle and we'll size the bag to fit.
Can a paper bag carry a bottle safely?
Yes, when the bag is the right size and weight. A snug fit and a strong base stop the bottle swinging. Tell us the bottle and we'll quote a paper strong enough for it.
Can you make bags for two or three bottles?
Ask us. Tell us how many bottles and what they are, and we'll tell you what we can do.
When should I order bottle bags for Christmas?
As early as you can. Bottle bags are busiest in the run-up to Christmas, and bags made to order take longer than printed stock bags. See our Christmas printed bags page for timings.
Is there a minimum order?
There's no fixed minimum. We quote each order by hand, so a small vineyard or a single shop can order what it needs.
