This is a deeper red than a post box, closer to cherry or a good red wine, so it looks rich rather than shouty. It's popular with Christmas markets, theatres, cinemas and brands whose own colour sits in the red family and want the bag to match.
White ink looks superb on it. Cream and pale yellow give a slightly vintage feel that suits food and drink labels. Black works if the design is bold and chunky, but thin black text can get lost on a red this dark, and pink or orange inks tend to clash.
Being 100% organic cotton with GOTS certification, it suits retailers who get asked where things are made. The premium weight gives it a proper feel, and long handles mean it's comfortable on the shoulder. It measures 38 x 42 cm.
