The natural colour is a soft, creamy off-white, the shade most people picture when they think of a canvas bag. It flatters almost any ink. Black and dark green look earthy on it, reds and oranges come up warm, and a two or three colour design keeps its detail because nothing is fighting the background. The one thing to avoid is very pale ink like cream or light yellow, which just disappears.
Farm shops, bookshops, weddings and zero-waste stores tend to go for this one, and the story helps: the heavyweight canvas is made from 100% post-consumer recycled cotton, with GRS and Oeko-Tex certification on the fabric.
