Polyester is the tough, practical choice for gymsacs, and black is the most practical colour of all. It copes with a shower of rain, doesn't show mud, and looks at home in a school PE cupboard or a boxing gym.
White ink gives the cleanest result on black polyester. Yellow, bright green, orange and silver-grey also stand out well for team colours. Leave dark inks for lighter bags.
It's a smaller bag than our cotton ones at 31 x 40 cm and 7 litres, which is just right for a pair of trainers, a kit or a swimming costume. Matching black cords, reinforced corners and metal eyelets help it cope with being chucked around. Because it's water resistant, a damp sponge is all it needs to clean it.
