The Cotton Tote Bag Long Handle is the long-handled twin of the Cotton Tote Bag Short Handle: the same 38 x 42 cm bag in the same 140gsm cotton, with 67 cm handles that go over the shoulder. It comes in 48 colours, the widest choice we offer, and it's one price at any quantity.
A bag on the shoulder leaves both hands free, so it goes further: to the shops, to work, to the gym, round a festival. Every trip is another outing for your logo.
If you're printing for a shop till or for gifts that are carried a short way, short handles keep things neat. For almost everything else, long handles are the safer choice.

Choosing handles
- Look for a handle length where the maker gives one. Westford Mill lists 67 cm for the Cotton Tote Bag Long Handle and 62 cm for the Premium Organic Cotton Wave Tote Bag.
- Pick out a brand colour with contrast handles. The Cotton Tote Bag Contrast Handle has natural bags with red, navy, black, fuchsia or lime green handles, and the Premium Recycled Contrast Strap Tote Bag has black or navy webbed straps.
- For a bag worn across the body all day, try the Cotton Sling Tote Bag: one 118 cm strap instead of two handles.

How long are the handles on a long handle tote?
It varies by bag and by how the maker measures. Westford Mill lists a handle length for each of its bags: 67 cm on the Cotton Tote Bag Long Handle and the Cotton Tote Bag Contrast Handle, and 62 cm on the Premium Organic Cotton Wave Tote Bag. Every bag on this page can be worn on the shoulder.
Can I choose the handle colour?
Yes, on the contrast handle bags: the Cotton Tote Bag Contrast Handle has five handle colours on a natural bag, and the Premium Recycled Contrast Strap Tote Bag has black or navy straps. On our juco bags the handles match the coloured jute sides. On other bags the handles match the bag.
What is a sling bag?
A tote with one long strap instead of two handles, made to be worn across the body or on one shoulder. Ours is the Cotton Sling Tote Bag, in 140gsm cotton in Black, Natural or White.
Should a shop choose long or short handles?

How long does printing take?
Our standard turnaround is 7 to 10 working days from approved artwork. The Recycled Cotton Tote Bag, and the Premium Recycled Canvas Tote Bag in Black or Natural, are also on our express range, from the next working day.
