Why the canvas panels matter
Jute is a coarse, open weave. It takes bold shapes and thick lines well, but fine lines and small text can break up across the fibres.
Cotton canvas is tight and smooth, so ink sits evenly on it. On a juco bag your print goes on the canvas panel, which gives you the natural look of jute with a much cleaner print. Both faces have a panel, so you can print one side or both.

Getting the most from a juco bag
- Pick the colourway to match your brand, then choose ink colours that sit well beside it. Navy ink with navy sides looks deliberate.
- Dark inks show best on the natural canvas. White ink on natural canvas is subtle, so use it as an accent rather than the main colour.
- Size your design to sit inside the canvas panel with a margin all round. We check the fit on your proof.

Questions people ask
What is a juco bag?
Juco is short for jute and cotton. Some makers use the name for a fabric woven from both fibres. Ours combine the two in a different way: a laminated jute body with cotton canvas panels on the front and back, where the print goes.
Is a juco bag the same as a jute bag?
Not quite. A jute bag is jute all over, so the print sits on the jute weave. A juco bag gives you a smooth cotton canvas panel to print on, so fine detail and small text come out cleaner. Our cotton, jute and canvas guide compares them properly.
Are juco bags waterproof?
No. The jute is laminated, which helps the bag hold its shape and cope with a spill, but it isn't a waterproof bag.
Can you wash a juco bag?
The maker's care advice is sponge clean only. Wipe off marks with a damp sponge and let the bag dry naturally.
Can you print on both sides?
Yes. Both faces have a cotton canvas panel, so you can print one side or both, in 1 to 4 spot colours each.
What is the minimum order, and how long does it take?
There's no fixed minimum: prices start from 25 and you can type any quantity. Juco bags take our standard 7 to 10 working days from approved artwork.
