Food, grease and heat
Takeaway bags are made to carry food that's already packed in boxes, cartons or cups. Hot, greasy or wet food should go in its own container first: plain kraft soaks up grease and softens if it gets wet, and steam from an open container can weaken the base.
If food will touch the paper directly, such as bread, pastries or sandwiches, tell us when you ask for a quote. We'll check that the paper is suitable for food contact before we quote it.
Printing
We print your logo in solid spot colours, matched to your file or to Pantone references. One colour on brown kraft is quick to read and keeps the price down. The print sits on the front and back, clear of the folds and the base. We check your artwork for free and email a proof before anything is printed.

Are your paper takeaway bags food safe?
They're made to carry packed food in boxes, cartons and cups. If food will touch the paper directly, tell us when you ask for a quote and we'll confirm that the paper is suitable for food contact before we quote it.
Will hot food make the bag soggy?
Steam and grease will soften plain kraft over time, so hot food should go in its own lidded container. Packed that way, a paper takeaway bag carries a hot meal home without trouble.
What size takeaway bag do I need?
