Our smallest printed bag is a recycled cotton drawstring bag just 10 x 15 cm, and our mini tote is a 26 x 32.5 cm cotton tote with short handles. Small bags suit gifts, wedding favours and product packaging, where a full-size tote would swamp what's inside.

Printing on a small bag

The print has to fit the bag, so a smaller bag means a smaller print. Fine lines and small text are the first things to suffer when a design shrinks, and a bold, simple logo reads far better. On the tiniest pouches, a single mark or one word works best.

Each colour needs its own screen, with a one-off charge per colour. On small bags one colour is the best value, and it often looks cleanest too.

We check every file for free and email a proof before we print. If anything is too fine to hold at that size, we'll tell you and suggest a fix.

What size is a mini tote bag?

Ours is 26 x 32.5 cm, in 140gsm cotton with short handles, and it comes in five colours. It's made to take A4 folders, with a little room around them.

What is the smallest bag you print?

The XXS Recycled Cotton Drawstring Stuff Bag, at 10 x 15 cm. It's a good size for jewellery, small gifts and samples.

Can I order a small quantity?

Yes. There's no fixed minimum: prices start from 25 and you can type any quantity on the bag's page. You can also order an unprinted sample first.

Can you print a different name on each bag?

No. Screen printing puts the same print on every bag. For weddings and parties, put every name on one shared design instead.

Do small bags cost less to print?

Not always. A bag's price depends more on its style and fabric than its size, and the one-off screen charge per colour is the same whatever the bag. A one-colour print keeps the cost per bag down. Each bag's page shows live prices.

How do I wash them?

The makers advise sponge cleaning for the mini tote and the jute bags, hand washing for the stuff bags, and wiping clean for the Premium Recycled Canvas Stand Up Tote and Carry Bag.
